Being part of the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, these musicians feel that its their inherent responsibility to acquaint Indian audiences with Carnatic music. As a composer, Shankar Mahadevan believes that there is still vast scope of experimentation with classical music in movies.

    He had a brief stint working in the software industry but his love music prevailed and forced him to venture into music. The inclination towards music didn’t stop him to get a degree in Engineering in Computer Science. While visiting his uncle’s house, he laid his hands on Harmonium and started playing. The musical journey for Shankar Mahadevan started at an early age of 4.
